We took our own advice and didn’t visit the Rocky Mountain National Park today since fall colors are in bloom, the weather is gorgeous and we’re near the major metropolitan city of Denver.
We decided to look up a local movie theatre known as the Westminster Promenade. The Westminster Promenade is known for its variety of restaurants and entertainment venues, including the movie theatre, interactive water features, a three-rink ice arena, a bowling center and a world-renowned insect zoo. Today however it seemed deserted until the Broncos game was over.
We saw the movie “Hope Springs.” What a balance diet we had with ice cream before the show and popcorn during the movie to substitute for lunch. Afterward we walked across the outdoor mall to a sport bar for dinner and to see the last of the football game. I must say the Broncos are treating Payton Manning with the same fondness Indy fans felt. Denver is very supportive of their Bronco team.
